Franklin VanOosten Co-Director of Senior Adult Ministries
Franklin VanOosten has served as Co-Director of Senior Adult Ministries (part time) since 2007. His primary purpose is to extend care to our senior members by helping to plan events, trips, bible studies, fun, and fellowship. Franklin has been a member of Centerpoint for over 55 years!!
Franklin and his wife Joan have been married 55 years and they have 4 children and spouses along with 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren! Franklin can name every one, where they live and what they do!!
Franklin was born and raised in Kalamazoo and graduated from Western Michigan University in 1957. He worked at a number of area companies, including Checker Motors Corp. and the Pfizer Corp. (formerly the Upjohn Co.). In addition,he also was the first person who served in the Business Manager position here at Centerpoint back in the 1980's/1990's.
Franklin and his wife are "professional" bluegill fisherpersons. He also collects scale 1948-1959 cars and miniature flower vases as a hobby.
